I don't really think that Ethos has been getting enough character time here. I pulled her out of the characters-I-never-got-a-chance-to-use bin, and stuck her up front and center like, but she's barely said a word since she got on board.
I try not to use these "director's commentary" bits to expand on the universe (I feel it's better to keep that stuff in the comic, because if you can't express it in the comic then what's the point?), but here it is: Ethos is an artificial creation with little-to-no world experience and force field powers. She can tear off your head by thinking about it, and early in her career it was necessary to explain to her exactly why she shouldn't do so - essentially she was Green Lantern with a dissocial personality disorder. By this point she's grown a little; she has learned that she is not the centre of her own universe, and that other people are people too, but still bears watching.
Here she is making her own amusement! Dance, puppet, dance!
