No, Iain isn't small, he's far away.

This started off as a standard 4-panel layout, but I kept stripping more and more out until I was left with this basic gag, and I didn't really feel three panels of silence would work right. Unfortunately, with the wider panels the foreshortening doesn't work right either ... and I hadn't drawn enough couch to reall express the angle of view. I've tried to make up for it with the shadows on the wall, but it's not great. For reference, this is quite a low POV, which is why their eyelines appear to be at the same level even though alien lady is sitting down and Iain is quite tall.

Maybe I should have added some blur on one of the layers or other. Oh well.
